Spring Cleaning Tips That’ll Leave Your Home Looking Tidy and Refreshed
Spring is known for its mild, pleasant weather and blooming flowers. Additionally, spring is known for being the time of year when many people try sprucing up their homes by getting rid of dust, stains, and clutter. For anyone planning on spring cleaning their home, here are some helpful tips:
- Tackle dusty blinds by wrapping a fabric softener sheet or a microfiber cloth around a long, thin object, such as a ruler. When you slide the ruler or other similar object between each blind, any dust will stick to the fabric or softener sheet, leaving your blinds looking spotless.
- Get rid of lime buildup around a water faucet by soaking several paper towels with vinegar and draping them over the fixture. Wait about an hour, remove the paper towels, rinse off the limescale (which will be easy to remove thanks to the vinegar), and admire your newly cleaned faucet.
- To clean up dried spills and deodorize a refrigerator, remove any food items and sprinkle baking soda on a damp sponge. Scrub the sides, shelves, and any compartments you wish to cleanse. Wipe off the baking soda with a wet sponge and place a fresh box of soda inside the fridge to help eliminate odors (try to replace it every three months).
