Three Simple Ways to Declutter Your Apartment near The Villages, FL

Clutter is a natural part of apartment living. It can build up quickly, from papers that need to be filed to odds and ends that make their way onto your dining room table. The process of decluttering your home can be tedious and time-consuming, but there are many simple ways to start the process that don’t take much time at all.

Here is a list of three easy ways to declutter your apartment near The Villages, Florida:

Give away one item a day – Each day, find one item that you no longer have any use for and place it in a bag to be donated (if in good condition; otherwise, you can simply throw it away). Once you have a bag full of gently used items, take it to a local donation center. Over the course of a year, you’ll have slowly reduced your clutter by 365 items!

Clear out a drawer – Drawers are notorious for being easy places to store junk so that it can be out of sight and out of mind. Find a drawer in your apartment, take everything out of it, and sort the items into three piles: items that belong in the drawer, items that belong elsewhere, and items to get rid of. Then, add the items that belong in the drawer back inside and deal with the other piles accordingly.

Make an inbox tray – One of the biggest causes of clutter is paper. Whether this involves bills, projects, receipts, or mail, it is often thrown onto counters, tables, and shelves, bringing about a messy look to your home. Instead, set an inbox tray in a central location where all your papers can be placed. Once a week, sort through the items in the tray and file the papers away.
