A Variety of Ways to Eat Avocado

With its creamy texture and bevy of health benefits, avocado is the favorite fruit of many individuals. There are many reasons to eat more avocados – for instance, they are full of antioxidants, could boost brain function thanks to their monounsaturated fats, and may help support a healthy heart.

Avocados can be enjoyed sliced up and with just a bit of salt and pepper. But in case anyone is looking to spice things up, here are a few different ways to enjoy avocados:

  • On a bagel – Adding a bit of cream cheese, a preferred protein (like ham or turkey), and avocado slices to a bagel can make for a savory and filling breakfast.
  • With eggs – Avocado can be paired with eggs in a variety of ways. From adding chunks to an omelette to putting slices on eggs benedict, the possibilities are endless.
  • Stuffed – For a small but delicious meal, stuff an avocado with rice or quinoa, chopped tomatoes, cheese, and a favorite protein.
