How to Make Homemade Manicotti

Do you enjoy the wonderful flavors that come rushing into your mouth when you take a bite from a fresh, hot dish of manicotti? If so, you don’t have to go to an expensive Italian restaurant to enjoy this delicious meal. Instead, why not just make it from the comfort of your own home? If you would like to make this tasty dish at your home, just follow the recipe below.
This recipe takes about 1:15 to prepare and makes 4 servings.
Ingredients:

  • 1 pint ricotta cheese

  • 8 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 (16 ounce) can of tomato sauce

  • 5 ½ ounces of manicotti pasta

Directions:

  • Cook the manicotti pasta in boiling water. When it’s ready, drain it and rinse it with cold water.

  • Preheat your oven to 350° F.

  • Combine the ricotta, mozzarella, ½ cup of parmesan, eggs, parsley, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and mix it all together.

  • Spray the bottom and sides of an 11x17 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and pour ½ a cup of the tomato sauce into it.

  • Take the manicotti pasta and fill each shell with 3 Tablespoons of the cheese mixture, and then place them into the baking dish on top of the sauce.

  • Pour the remaining sauce over the pasta and sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top of it.

  • Bake for 45 minutes, let the dish cool for 10 minutes and enjoy.
