Preparing a Delicious Breaded Steak at Our Apartments Near The Villages

If you’ve ever wanted to know how to prepare a delicious breaded steak at your PepperTree Apartment Home, there is no better time than now to try it out. With fully equipped kitchens in every apartment, our residents have the perfect setting to prepare a delicious breaded steak.

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to prepare a tasty, Spanish-style breaded steak (bistec empanizado) at our apartments near the Villages:

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 1 lime (juice only)

  • 2 tablespoons vinegar

  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine

  • 1 ½ lbs of sirloin steak (this will serve around four people)

  • 1 cup cracker meal

  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon of salt

  • 2 beaten egg whites

  • ½ cup chopped cilantro (preferably fresh)

  • An additional 3 tablespoons olive oil for sautéing

To prepare your delicious steak, mix the ¼ cup olive oil, lime juice, vinegar, and chopped onion together to create a mojo marinade. Dip the beef steaks in the mojo, cover them, and let them marinade for 20 minutes. After the 20 minutes are up, remove the steaks and pound them using a meat mallet until they are only about a ¼ inch thick (this also helps to infuse the steak with the marinade). Place the steaks back in the marinade while you continue to make the breading.

In a medium bowl, combine cracker meal, garlic powder, and salt. Dip the wet, marinaded beef in your beaten egg whites, and then dip that in the cracker mixture, coating it well on both sides. Once that is done, sauté your steaks to your preferred doneness in a skillet or cast iron pan with the 3 tablespoons olive oil to prevent sticking. Then all you have to do is remove the cooked steaks, season them with a little chopped cilantro and black pepper, and enjoy.
