
How to Make Iced Raspberry Green Tea Limeade
While most of the country tends to enjoy iced tea as a summer time drink, here in Florida we can enjoy a refreshing iced tea beverage year-round! There are many fun variations on the classic sweet tea as well, including drinks made with a different type of tea or with other fruit flavorings. For instance, this iced raspberry green tea limeade, which is very easy to make:
- Ingredients (Serves 4-6)
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup frozen or fresh raspberries
- ½ cup white sugar
- Zest of one lime
- 4 green tea bags
- ½ cup fresh squeezed lime juice (typically about 4-6 limes)
- Directions
- Bring the water, raspberries, sugar, and lime zest to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved (about a minute), then remove the pan from the heat.
- Add the green tea bags and let them steep for one minute. Remove the tea bags.
- Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine strainer or sieve, and discard the solids. Let the liquid cool to room temperature, about 20-30 minutes, then stir in the fresh lime juice. Pour over ice in individual glasses, and garnish with a lime wedge and/or raspberry if desired. Serve and enjoy!
